東京都杉並区の木造2階建の改修プロジェクト
木造戸建て住宅を耐震補強のため既存の壁を剥がし、その際見つかったこの住宅ならではの要素を生かしながら改修しました。大人2人が住むことを前提に、視線の抜けや光のうつりを意識し壁の有無や床の抜けを再構成し、コンパクトな床面積を日常的に使い倒せるよう1階と2階の用途決めを行いました。
For this wooden detached house, we stripped back the existing walls to carry out seismic reinforcement, and used the opportunity to highlight unique elements discovered during the process.
Assuming two adults would live in the home, we reorganized the presence and absence of walls—as well as areas of open flooring—to create clear sightlines and gentle transitions of light. By carefully defining the functions of the first and second floors, we ensured that the compact floor area can be fully and comfortably utilized in daily life.
